EARLY SPRING CLEANUP
Collection dates: March 31 - May 1
- Loose piles of leaves and thatch will be collected during the month of April only. We encourage you to put smaller quantities in containers as outlined below. Containerized collection will begin on Monday, April 28.
GRASS, WEEDS AND CUTTINGS
Collection dates: April 28 - December 18
- Please use paper bags or reusable containers. Composting sites do not accept plastic bags.
- Weight must not exceed 50 lbs. per container.
- Cuttings must be less than 3 feet in length and tied into bundles.
FREE Mulch
Mulch and wood chips generated by the town’s yard debris recycling program are available FREE of charge to residents who visit the East Street storage site adjacent to the Little League fields.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
- Our crews will be in your neighborhood weekly to collect yard debris.
- Holiday Schedule
- Memorial Day (5/26), Labor Day (9/1)
No collection on these dates. Schedules will shift by one day following the holiday.
- Place yard debris behind the curb or gutter to avoid blocking drainage pathways or impede traffic flow in your neighborhood.
- Material for pickup must be out by 6AM on your scheduled collection day.
- If you live on a private drive, take materials to nearest public street.
- We cannot collect stumps, rocks, stones, metal, lumber, plastics, glass, fencing or waste materials.
- The brush pickup schedule may vary slightly due to weather conditions and volume of debris. We appreciate your patience.
BRUSH AND BRANCHES
Collection dates: March 31 - October 30
- Branches and brush must be less than 8 feet in length and less than 8 inches in diameter.
- We can remove loose branch and brush generated by residents only. Material that is generated by landscape or tree maintenance professionals must be removed as part of their provided service. This material may be taken to the Town of PIttsford Highway Department, 60 Golf Avenue.
